What is a Sinus Lift surgery?
A Sinus Lift surgery, also known as sinus augmentation, is a very common procedure previous to dental implants. It is done on patients that donât have enough bone density on the upper jaw to support implants, which is extremely important to have successful dental implant treatment. To create the space, it is needed to move upward, or âliftâ the sinus membrane – which gives the name of the surgery -, and later it is filled with bone graft material.Â

Once the surgery is complete and fully healed, you can be eligible for implant treatment. Now, with enough bone density and space to place the implant, there are higher possibilities of having a successful procedure.
